In the church vestibule is a display board with blue, pink and yellow duckies. Items for new-born babies that are needed by the Birthright of Central Westmoreland organization will be printed on each duckie. Please consider taking a duckie or two, purchasing the items, and returning them unwrapped to the baskets that will be placed in the church vestibule by February 12th.
A committee has been formed to make homemade peroghi's (potato and cheese) for the Lenten Season. Orders will be taken from January 28th through February 22nd. Delivery will be the weekend of February 25/26. The cost is $6.00 per dozen. Orders will be taken before and after all Masses in the church vestibule the weekends of January 28/29 and February 4/5 or you may call Donna at 724-446-9544 or Lorraine at 724-872-7307 to place your order now.
Youth Ministry students from the parish in grades 6-12 are invited to an evening of Skiing at Seven Springs on Friday, February 3rd. Bus will leave St. Edward at 5:00pm and return around 11:30pm. Cost is $33 which includes Ski/Snowboard Ticket and bus. Snow Tubing is also available for a cost of $30. All money is due with reservations, January 23rd in the Faith Formation Office.
St. Edward Parish will sponsor a "Night at the Races" on Saturday, February 18th at 7:30pm in Edwardian Hall. Doors open at 7:00pm. Horses are $20 each and entitles the owner to 2 free admission tickets. Horses will be available to purchase this weekend and next weekend, January 28/29.
Only 100 horses will be sold. The evening includes free food, free beer, beverages, BYOB, and much more! (Must be 21 to attend). Admission at the door will be $15 per person (without purchasing a horse). All proceeds benefit the church.
