Faith Formation

​Faith Formation is offered for children from the parish in First through Fifth grade who attend public school. Classes are held on Monday evenings from 6:00 – 7:30 PM in the former school building beginning in September and ending in April. This program systematically explores Christian attitudes and basic doctrine. Parents are encouraged to become involved in their children’s faith formation by reading and reviewing their religion books together at home. 

The High School Youth Ministry program of St. Edward Parish is open to all students in grades 9 through 12 (Catholic and public school). This ministry program encourage the overall personal and spiritual growth of each person and brings young people to responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the faith community. 

Students gather for group discussions on the liturgy, plan service projects, activities, as well as participate in community and parish oriented projects and activities.

Middle Youth Ministry (MYM)   Grades 6th through 8th

MYM meets every other week on Monday evenings from 6:00 – 7:30pm in Edwardian Hall beginning in September and ending in April 25.

Confirmation preparation begins in sixth grade. Attendance is required in 6th thru 8th grade in order to be properly formed to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation which takes place in 8th grade.
